You can apply for a deferment of your military service in the Armed Forces if you have been appointed or enrolled in a medical residency program at a legally recognized medical institution in Greece or abroad that uses an internationally recognized language.

When to apply: 

• By the date on which you are required to enlist in the Armed Forces, with a deadline for applications of December 31, 2027. 
• If the application is submitted after the enlistment date, the deferment is granted retroactively, provided that you have not enlisted and the conditions were met on the date of your enlistment obligation.

• to fill in your personal Taxisnet credentials
• supporting documents to back up your request, as described in the Information section
