If you are an organic farmer, you can apply for a permit to use non-organic seeds, by way of derogation from the applicable provisions.
You will be granted the permit if:

• the variety of the species you want is not registered in the electronic propagation material database of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food
• you can prove that none of the other listed varieties of the same plant species are suitable for your production
• no supplier is able to deliver to your area the seed or potato tubers for planting before sowing or planting your farm(s)
• the variety you want to use supports research and small-scale field trials or is suitable for the conservation of a specific variety

You will need to:

• enter your personal Taxisnet credentials
• enter your personal details (when using the service for the first time)
• fill in the application
• attach the required supporting documents (see them in the application form)
• select the way you will receive the decision

Upon submission, you will receive an email with the details of your application (reference number and application file) and the contact details of the competent regional directorate.

You will then be informed by e-mail about the outcome of the application and the document will be sent to you as you have chosen.

Currently, the service is available in the Regions of Attica and South Aegean. More regions will gradually be included in it.
