Submission of business investment proposals to the EECO – Business programme

The completion of the project is extended until April 30, 2026.

Businesses can submit an investment plan proposal to the “Save-Invest” program in order to carry out energy upgrades to buildings and non-building facilities, as well as to replace energy-intensive equipment in your business.

Program budget

The subsidized budget (public expenditure and private participation, excluding VAT) for each investment proposal from a potential beneficiary cannot exceed the following amounts:

  • five hundred thousand euros (€500,000) for the tourism sector
  • two hundred and fifty thousand euros (€250,000) for the trade and other services sector

Subsidy rate

The subsidy covers expenses related to:

energy upgrades to building envelopes and lighting systems

  • energy-saving measures in space heating and cooling systems, ventilation systems, and domestic hot water systems 
  • installation of solar thermal systems, 
  • replacement of energy-intensive equipment 
  • installation of compensation systems 
  • installation of automation, control, and management systems 

Requirements

  1. Your business must operate within Greece.
  2. You must submit one (1) and only one investment proposal per tax identification number.
  3. Your business must not be classified as problematic.
  4. At the time of submitting the investment plan application, there must be no pending proceedings for the recovery of aid from the business, including any affiliated businesses (Deggendorf principle).
  5. The expenses included in the specific funding application must not have been funded or included in the past in another program funded by national or EU resources.
  6. It must have or commit to providing, by the completion of the action/investment, the appropriate infrastructure and services to minimize barriers and facilitate access to them, where necessary and appropriate, for persons with disabilities.
  7. There must be ownership or concession of use or lease or legal establishment of usufruct on the property for a period at least equal to the period required for the investment to be amortized.

Procedure

  1. Submit your application.
  2. If approved, a special escrow account is created at the credit institution of your choice, where the funds are deposited.
  3. Update the information system with the required supporting documents.
  4. The eligibility of the relevant expenses is checked.
  5. Submit the 2nd EPC or the 2nd Energy Audit Report, as applicable, showing that the energy target has been achieved.
  6. Submit the Electronic Identity of the building.
  7. The amounts are released to the beneficiaries.
