Businesses that produce and/or market propagation material, research institutes, universities and private individuals can apply for an approval to import propagation material from third countries for:

• trading
• reproduction (seed production)
• covering the needs of a plant nursery business
• experimentation, environmental restoration or plant showcasing
• own use by institutions of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food or by public research institutes

in relation to the following cultivated plant species:

• crops
• vegetables
• aromatic and medicinal plants
• ornamental plants
• fruit plants or trees
