You can apply to be exempted from the obligation to fulfil your military service if you are a person with with disabilities with a disability rate of sixty-seven percent (67%) for life.

When to apply:

• if you are a conscript: from the call for enlistment until the date of your enlistment in the Armed Forces. If the application is submitted at a later date, the exemption is granted if the conditions related to your person were met on the date of your enlistment
• if you are a private soldier, at any time after you enlistment
• if you are a draft evader or a deserter: after the discontinuation of your evasion or desertion

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• the disability assessment and certification

The disability assessment and certification should come either from the Health Committees of the Disability Certification Centre (KEPA) or from the Higher Health Committees of the Armed Forces branches, the Higher Health Committee of the Hellenic Police or the Higher Health Committee of the Fire Brigade.
