Natural persons can apply for an intangible digital debit card, which they can use for specific categories of expenditure (local transport, catering and accommodation) in the affected municipalities of Chios and Kythira for the months of May - June and September - October 2026. This action aims to financially support tourism activity in these areas.
Necessary conditions:
- be an adult natural person unmarried or married or in a state of widowhood or persons who have entered into a registered partnership, tax residents of Greece, based on the last liquidated income tax return of natural persons for the tax year 2024. Especially for married persons or persons who have entered into a registered partnership, the beneficiary is the person liable to submit the income tax return or one of the two, in case of a separate return.
- not be beneficiaries under the Social Tourism Programme 2025-2026 of the DYPA, the Social Tourism Programme of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) 2026-2027, regardless of whether the above benefits are ultimately used or not, or a related benefit from any other body for the same period of time, and not have yourself or your beneficiaries as a principal place of residence in Chios or Kythira, based on the last cleared income tax return of natural persons for the tax year 2024.
You will need:
- your personal Taxisnet credentials
- fill in and confirm your contact details and, in particular, your email address and mobile phone number.
Applications are submitted for all phases from Thursday 14/05/2026 until Monday 18/05/2026. The phases are divided into the following periods:
- Phase 1 (May 2026 – June 2026): possibility to use the intangible digital card until 30/6/2026.
- Phase 2 (September 2026 – October 2026): possibility to use the intangible digital card until 31/10/2026.
The action is divided into two distinct programmes/destinations:
- ‘Chios Pass 2026’ concerning the Municipality of Chios and
- ‘Kythira Pass 2026’ concerning the Municipality of Kythera
Beneficiaries may apply only for one of the two above-mentioned programmes/passes and for one or both phases, however they may become beneficiaries, following a draw, only for one programme in one phase of the programme they have selected.
The number and amount of debit cards per eligible programme/destination and per phase shall be as follows:
- Phase 1: "Chios Pass 2026" 1,500 cards of 300€ / "Kythira Pass 2026" 1,800 cards of 250€
- Phase 2: "Chios Pass 2026" 1,500 cards of 300€ / "Kythira Pass 2026" 1,800 cards of 250€
Any remaining Phase 1 amounts are transferred to Phase 2, increasing the number of intangible digital debit cards for this phase.
Beneficiaries will result from a draw to be carried out by the Implementing Body after the closing date for applications, the results of which will be posted on the programme's website.
