If you hold a valid Greek driving licence, you can apply for:

• extension of your current driving licence to additional categories (AM, A1, A2, A, B, BE or C1, C, D1, D, C1E, CE, D1E, DE with or without PIE), and/or
• obtaining a Certificate of Professional Competence (PIE) for the transport of passengers or goods

You will need to:

• enter your personal Taxisnet credentials
• select the categories of driving licence you want
• fill in any information that may classify you in special categories of examinees and attach the relevant supporting documents (e.g. examination with headphones)
• have your photo and signature managed in the myphoto application so that they can be retrieved when you apply
• issue and pay the appropriate fee (the application guides you through the issuance and payment process)
• attach any necessary supporting documents

The process is completed in steps:

The process requires you to be trained by a driving school and includes theoretical and practical exams. At each step, the app will notify you by email and text message (SMS).
1.    Procedure for issuing a candidate driver training certificate

Select the category or categories of driver's license you want 
If the categories you have selected require medical certificates, the app will give you a four-digit number (PIN) and inform you of the medical specialties that require examination
Visit the doctors and, once the medical examination is complete, the application is automatically updated. If you are deemed fit by all doctors, you can continue with your application 
You must issue and pay the required electronic fee. 
The learner's permit is not issued immediately but after verification.

2.    Selecting a driving school and attending theoretical and practical lessons
After the issuance of the learner's permit, you can begin attending theoretical and practical lessons. At this point, you must choose a driving school if you have not already done so.

3. Scheduling theoretical exams
When the theoretical training is complete, the driving school you have authorized will submit the request to schedule your theoretical exam.

4.    Scheduling practical exams
Once you have successfully completed the theory test and practical training, your authorized driving school will submit a request to schedule your practical exam.

5. Issuing and receiving your new driver's license

After passing the practical exam, the process of issuing your license depends on the categories you have selected:

For one category (e.g., A1), the application for printing is made automatically after passing the test

For two categories (e.g., A1 and C), the application is made automatically after passing the tests in both categories
If you pass only one, you can request a license for that category only
When you pass the second, you will need a new application and a new fee to issue a license with all categories

The acquisition of the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) will be indicated on your license with the code 95.

The license will be delivered to you or your representative by the Region you have selected in your application.
