Get an exemption from military service for a conscript or private who is a widowed father or a father who has been awarded sole parental responsibility for at least one (1) living minor child.

You may apply for exemption from fulfilling your military service obligation if you are a widowed father or a father who has been entrusted with the exclusive parental care of at least one (1) living minor child

When to apply:

• if you are a conscript: from the invitation to enlist until the date of your enlistment in the Armed Forces. If you apply later, the exemption is granted if you were eligible on the date of enlistment
• if you are a private: anytime after you enlist
• if you are a conscientious objector/deserter: after your conscientious objector or deserter is terminated

• attach any supporting documents
