You can apply for the postponement of your conscription in the Armed Forces if you have acquired Greek citizenship under any provision of the Greek Citizenship Code or wilfully under any other applicable provision.

When to apply:

At any time after the date of acquisition of the Greek citizenship and until the date of enlistment, as determined by the date on which the citizenship was acquired. If the application is submitted later, the enlistment postponement is granted and lasts for one year from the date of your entry in the register of males.

You will need:

• your personal Taxisnet credentials
• the decision of entry in the registers of males, from which the legal basis for acquiring Greek Citizenship can be derived
